About Orpheus The IMAGO Orpheus Music Editor is under development since over 4 years. Originally we intended to produce a public tool for creating soundtracks for computer games and multimedia presentations, but due to commercial reasons we are not able to release the current Version 1.50. Since many people asked for a release we decided to release an old prototype version. This one lacks in many functions, but the basic user interface is working fine. In Version 1.00 the program can read MOD, S3M, XM, PTM and IMF (IMAGO Music Files, Version 1.0) files. You can store your music in IMF, MOD and S3M format. Many popular soundcards will be supported. 3. Requirements The hardware requirements are a IBM 386 compatible computer with an VGA graphics adapter. You should also have some sound device installed. Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster Pro, Sound Blaster 16, Sound Blaster AWE32, Pro Audio Spectrum, Windows Sound System and Gravis Ultrasound will be supported, but it is recommended to use a Sound Blaster AWE32 with at least 2 MB DRAM. Furthermore you need an Expanded Memory Manager like EMM386. At least 128 EMM-handles should be available. You can add the following lines to your CONFIG.SYS file: DEVICE=[PATH]\HIMEM.SYS DEVICE=[PATH]\EMM386.SYS RAM H=255 The programm runs fine under DOS and Windows 95/98. If you get trouble with the Windows environment try to deinstall your sounddevice driver. 4. Contact Email: roeder@uni-weimar.de WWW: http://www.uni-weimar.de/~roeder/
